# Notes and documents

> Your team's internal workspace — and the one place a note can become several things.

<Note>
  Notes are available on **Pro and Ministry**.
</Note>

**Notes** is where your team writes — meeting minutes, planning documents, policies, sermon outlines, the thinking behind a decision.

It is internal by default. Nothing here is visible to your congregation unless you choose to share it.

## Writing

A full editor with headings, formatting and structure. Notes save as you type.

## What you can do with a note

This is the part worth knowing, because it saves retyping:

<CardGroup cols={2}>
  <Card title="Share with admins" icon="users">
    Your team sees it. Your congregation does not.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Share on the web" icon="globe">
    Creates a public link anyone can open. Press again to stop sharing — the link stops working immediately.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Share to livestream" icon="tower-broadcast">
    An outline you wrote in the week reaches the screen on Sunday.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Send to a blog draft" icon="pen-nib">
    When a note turns out to be worth publishing.
  </Card>
</CardGroup>

And export as **PDF**, **Word** or **Markdown**.

## Sharing on the web, carefully

<Warning>
  A public link is genuinely public — anyone with it can read the note, with no sign-in.

  Revoking works immediately and completely: the old link stops resolving. But anything already read has been read. Do not put pastoral or personal information in a note you then publish.
</Warning>

The link itself is long and random — it cannot be guessed from another note's link.

## Pinning and organising

Pin the notes your team reaches for most so they stay at the top. Rename and delete from the same menu.

## A note is not a policy store

<Tip>
  For anything legally significant — safeguarding policy, constitution, insurance — keep the authoritative copy where your trustees expect it and use Harvest for the working version. Notes are excellent for the work; they are not a records management system.
