# Blog and community

> Publish articles, and keep a feed your congregation actually opens.

## Blog

The blog is for things worth keeping — teaching, a pastor's letter, a mission update, an article you want to send to someone outside the church.

Write in the editor, save as a draft, publish when ready. Published articles appear in the member app and can be shared publicly.

## The community feed

The feed is for the week — a notice, a photo from Sunday, a poll, a prayer point.

### Posts and polls

Switch between a **post** and a **poll** when composing. Polls are useful for the small decisions that otherwise take four phone calls — which Saturday, which venue, who is coming.

### Pinning

Pin a post to keep it at the top. Useful the week before a big event.

### Attaching things

You can attach a note, a contact, a fundraising campaign or a form to a post — so a notice about a work day can carry the signup form with it.

## Announcement channels

Channels are one-way: leadership posts, the congregation reads. Good for a ministry team, a small group or a whole-church notice board.

Alongside channels there are direct messages — admin to admin, and admin to member.

<Note>
  Members can message and reply, but only admins can attach records to a message.
</Note>

## Notes and documents

**Notes** is your internal workspace — meeting notes, planning documents, policies, anything your team writes together. It has its own page: [Notes and documents](/content/notes-and-documents).
